Job Description
We are looking for a Business Development Manager, (Manufacturing vertical B2B Sales)
'The Business Development Manager (BDM) for the Manufacturing vertical is a hunter role responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing significant new business opportunities for Samsung's Professional Display solutions. The primary objective is to penetrate the manufacturing market, establish Samsung's presence, and build a robust pipeline of high-value projects, including digital signage, command centers, control rooms, and large-format displays used across production facilities, operations, and corporate environments.
'Key Responsibilities
1. Aggressive Business Development & Hunting (Primary Focus):
Identify and Target: Proactively research and target key manufacturing companies (automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, heavy industry, etc.) in Mexico to identify unmet display solution needs and high-potential projects.
Pipeline Generation: Serve as a true "hunter," aggressively prospect, cold-call, network, and leverage industry events to generate a substantial pipeline of new, high-quality sales opportunities.
Lead-to-Opportunity Conversion: Take ownership of the entire sales cycle from initial contact and qualification through negotiation and contract closure.
Strategic Positioning: Position Samsung's Professional Displays as strategic tools that solve critical manufacturing challenges, such as operational efficiency, safety, data visualization, and quality control.
2. Market and Vertical Expertise:
Manufacturing Domain Knowledge: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing industry's business drivers, operational technology (OT), digital transformation initiatives, and display use cases (e.g., MES integration, visual factory, control room monitoring).
Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategy and value propositions.
3. Solution Selling and Relationship Management:
Consultative Approach: Employ a deep-dive, consultative sales methodology to understand complex client requirements and architect tailored solutions that integrate Samsung products with necessary software and services.
Ecosystem Building: Identify, recruit, and manage strategic partnerships with System Integrators, Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and technology partners specializing in the manufacturing sector to drive joint sales and project delivery.
Executive Engagement: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with C-level executives, IT Directors, Operations Managers, and Procurement leaders within target accounts.
4. Sales Execution & Reporting:
Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate and consistent sales forecasting, detailed pipeline management, and timely reporting on business development activities and results using the company's CRM system. (Sales Force, Nerp)
Goal Achievement: Meet and exceed assigned quarterly and annual sales quotas and strategic business objectives for the Manufacturing vertical.
Proposal Development: Create compelling, professional, and technically accurate proposals, presentations, and value-based business cases.
Strategically concentrate sales efforts in the Northern Mexico and Bajío regions, where the majority of manufacturing sector clients are identified. Must utilize TAM (Total Addressable Market) analysis to effectively complement market research and drive targeted outreach
This role requires a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry's technology needs, and exceptional consultative sales skills to engage C-level executives and key decision-makers.
'Essential Skills & Qualifications
Proven Hunter Mentality: A demonstrable track record of success in new business acquisition (hunting) within a B2B environment, with a relentless drive to open doors and secure first-time deals.
B2B Sales Experience (5+ years): Minimum of five (5) years of progressive B2B sales or business development experience, preferably within technology, enterprise IT, digital signage, or complex solution sales.
Vertical Knowledge (Manufacturing): Direct experience selling technology solutions (hardware, software, or services) into large Manufacturing organizations in Mexico is highly preferred.
Market Sizing Expertise: Demonstrated ability to perform market sizing analysis, including defining and calculating TAM, SAM, and SOM.
Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of Professional Displays, Digital Signage technologies, and their role in a corporate/industrial environment (e.g., LFD, Video Walls, LED, Content Management Systems).
Consultative Selling: Excellent proficiency in solution selling, value-based selling, and strategic account mapping.
Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish are mandatory. High-level negotiation and presentation skills for executive audiences.
Travel Availability: Must be available to travel constantly across the Mexican Republic to identify and engage with new clients and manage long-term strategic opportunities.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
