EFC Group Australia has been operating in the Food & Beverage sector across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia Pacific region since 2017. Following the launch of our first Bubble Tea brand in 2018, the Group has expanded rapidly from a single store to over 200 stores across 11 countries.
With continued growth across Australia, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support and drive our regional expansion and commercial growth.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing business growth opportunities
across Australia. This role aligns with senior sales and marketing management functions and plays a critical part in supporting EFC Group's long-term expansion strategy. You will lead strategic initiatives, provide managerial oversight, and contribute to key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute national business development and sales strategies to drive brand expansion, store growth, and market share across Australia, ensuring alignment with company goals and performance targets.
- Identify new commercial opportunities by evaluating prime locations for new stores, forming strategic partnerships, and exploring innovative business models to enhance market reach and profitability.
- Set and manage sales targets, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement strategies that maximize sales performance, customer acquisition, and customer loyalty across all regions
- Lead the promotion of the company's brand and services, executing integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives that drive brand awareness, consumer engagement, and increased market consumption.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landlords, franchise partners, suppliers, and other business collaborators, to support business development and long-term growth.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis, using insights to inform strategic decision-making and optimize growth opportunities, ensuring the company remains competitive in the market.
- Collaborate with the marketing, operations, and senior management teams to align business development efforts with marketing strategies, ensuring cohesive brand messaging and a unified approach to expansion.
- Monitor business development performance, track key metrics, and provide regular progress reports to senior management, offering strategic recommendations for continuous improvement and optimization.
- Lead and oversee national sales and marketing initiatives, including planning, directing, and evaluating performance outcomes.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to executive management on market entry, expansion decisions, and long-term growth planning.
- Provide leadership and guidance to sales, marketing, or regional development staff, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver expansion and sales objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in business development, sales management, or marketing within the food & beverage, retail, or franchise industries.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of identifying new business opportunities and achieving growth targets.
- Expertise in market research, competitive analysis, and using insight to drive strategy.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Cultural awareness of the Chinese food and beverage market, with knowledge of consumer behavior and preferences.
- Solid understanding of brand management, marketing strategies, and driving customer loyalty.
- Fluent in English, with Mandarin or other Asian languages a strong advantage.
