Job Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is the engine of our sales growth. As the first point of contact with prospective customers, you’ll play a critical role in identifying opportunities, building relationships, and setting the stage for successful client partnerships. This is a 100% outbound hunter role responsible for identifying potential clients, generating qualified leads, and building the sales pipeline.

In this role, you will work in lock‑step with the Marketing and Sales teams to align on target accounts, follow up on campaigns, and ensure a steady flow of opportunities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sales, business growth, and building strong customer relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound prospecting (cold calling, email, social).
  • Utilize ZoomInfo to source cold leads, verify contact details, and research target accounts to ensure outreach is relevant.
  • Qualify leads and build a robust pipeline aligned with company growth targets.
  • Conduct initial discovery sessions to understand business needs before handing off to Account Executives.
  • Collaborate with account executives and sales managers to strategize outreach plans and improve lead conversion.
  • Schedule meetings, product demos, and discovery calls for the sales team.
  • Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and feedback from prospects to support sales and marketing strategies.
  • Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and outreach materials.
CRM & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all leads, contacts, and activities in the CRM system.
  • Track and report key metrics, including outreach activities, conversion rates, and pipeline growth.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Act as a professional point of contact for prospects, providing timely responses and value‑driven communication.
  • Educate prospects about the company's solutions and address initial questions or objections.
  • Nurture leads through consistent follow‑up until they are ready to engage with the sales team.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, company offerings, and competitor activities.
  • Participate in sales training programs to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and communication skills.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Familiarity with sales outreach tools, social selling, and lead qualification techniques.
  • Basic understanding of sales metrics, KPIs, and reporting.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce) for managing leads and tracking activities.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace for reporting, presentations, and data management.
  • Ability to use sales engagement tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email outreach platforms, dialers) effectively.
  • Strong data analysis skills to interpret lead generation and conversion metrics.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and lead scoring processes is a plus.
