Job Description
Falcon Construction is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to identify, pursue, and secure new construction opportunities across our core markets.
This role is responsible for expanding Falcon’s client base, building long-term relationships with developers, franchise groups, and corporate clients, and driving consistent revenue growth nationwide.
The ideal candidate understands the commercial construction landscape, is comfortable with prospecting and relationship building, and thrives in a performance-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- LEAD GENERATION & MARKET EXPANSION - Identify new business opportunities in retail, restaurant, automotive, and commercial sectors - Target franchise groups, developers, property owners, and corporate clients - Research and pursue new geographic and vertical markets - Build and maintain a strong prospect pipeline RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT - Establish relationships with decision-makers (owners, developers, brokers, architects, PMs) - Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions - Maintain long-term client relationships to drive repeat business - Position Falcon as a trusted national construction partner OPPORTUNITY MANAGEMENT - Qualify leads and assess project fit - Coordinate with estimating and operations teams for proposals - Support RFP and bid submissions - Track opportunities from lead to contract SALES STRATEGY & REVENUE GROWTH - Develop and execute a personal sales strategy - Meet or exceed revenue and pipeline targets - Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities - Provide market intelligence to leadership CRM & REPORTING - Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, and deals - Track activity, pipeline value, and conversion rates - Provide regular reports to leadership Qualifications REQUIRED - 3+ years of business development or sales experience - Commercial construction, real estate, or development background preferred - Strong relationship-building skills - Excellent communication and presentation abilities - Self-motivated and results-driven - Comfortable with outbound prospecting - Willing to travel PREFERRED - Experience selling construction services (TI or Ground-Up) - Existing industry contacts - Familiarity with RFP processes - CRM experience.
