Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Initiatives & Process Improvement

  • Lead the Business Excellence initiatives across production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and support functions.
  • Identify and execute improvement projects focused on cost reduction, yield improvement, process optimization, and quality enhancement.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Drive key strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals and business KPIs.

2. Excellence Framework Implementation

  • Deploy Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and TPM methodologies in the plant operations.
  • Ensure adherence to TQM and operational excellence standards.
  • Benchmark best practices within and outside the steel industry to enhance productivity and operational reliability.
  • Manage external audits, quality certifications, and excellence assessments (e.g., Deming / TPM / CII / IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj Awards).

3. Data Analytics & Performance Management

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics across departments; identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards and MIS reports for management review.
  • Support management in decision-making through business data insights and trend analysis.

4. Change Management & Capability Building

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct training and mentoring sessions on Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen principles.
  • Lead internal communication on business excellence achievements and initiatives.

5. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Plant Heads, HODs, and corporate functions to ensure alignment of business excellence initiatives with business goals.
  • Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and industry associations for benchmarking and assessment activities.
