Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Business Manager FP&A to join the Business Support team in Finance.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

This role requires providing strategic financial advice, drive efficiencies and support key stakeholders. This role will also support budget and forecasting process along with reporting, and data analysis to provide financial insight. The role reports to the Senior Business Manager FP&A.

This role is responsible for:

  • Work with the Director Business Support to provide:
    • Business management support of the Clinical Operations of Northern Health.
  • Budget management and timely reporting.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives in their portfolios.
  • Deliver ad-hoc projects as directed by the Director Business Support, CFO, COO.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum Two years’ experience as a Business Manager Supervisory role within a large, complex organisation, preferably with in Victorian Public Health System.
  • A competent understanding of finance controls and risk.
  • Advanced MS office tool mainly Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Initiative and ability to develop, drive innovative solutions to achieve sustainability targets.

You will have well-developed skills in:

  • Report writing.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication, negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work.
