Team Size: Cross-functional (Marketing, Product, Sales, Operations, Editorial – direct & dotted line)

Role Summary:-

Oswaal Books is hiring a Business Unit Head – Early Learning to lead its premium early-learning and children’s publishing imprint.This is a full P&L ownership role , responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, brand building, product innovation, and team leadership across D2C, marketplaces, offline retail, exports, and strategic partnerships .

The role requires a builder’s mindset —someone who can scale and grow a business , not just manage ongoing operations.

Roles & Responsibilties:-

• Own and drive the complete P&L for the Early Learning business, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and financial discipline.
• Lead and scale D2C, marketplace, offline, and partnership channels with a focus on sustainable and profitable growth.
• Build and execute the overall business strategy aligned with brand positioning and long-term growth objectives.
• Drive product strategy, publishing roadmap, and innovation aligned with market needs and curriculum requirements.
• Strengthen brand presence through effective marketing, influencer partnerships, and storytelling initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams across marketing, sales, editorial, operations, and finance with clear accountability.
• Develop and nurture leadership talent while building strong processes and execution discipline.
• Represent the business unit in leadership forums through data-driven reviews, insights, and strategic recommendations.

Requirements:-

• 10–15+ years of experience in publishing, D2C, consumer brands, edtech, or media
• Mandatory prior P&L ownership
• Strong understanding of performance marketing, marketplaces (especially Amazon), and offline sales
• Highly comfortable with numbers, budgets, and decision-making under pressure
• Experience in education, content, or books is a strong advantage
