POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss' Buyer I is an early career purchasing professional responsible for supporting the procurement of materials for assigned projects and commodities within the Electrical Procurement Team. This role works under close supervision and follows established processes to execute purchasing transactions, maintain accurate ERP data, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to support material availability.

The Buyer I serves as a support liaison between suppliers, project teams, operations, and warehouse personnel. The role contributes to operational continuity by creating purchase orders, assisting with quote collection and basic analysis, tracking order status, and escalating routine procurement issues to more senior buyers. This position helps ensure accurate ERP documentation, timely material delivery, and consistent execution of Moss’ purchasing standards across the electrical procurement function.
