What you'll do:

  • Conduct purchasing activities in accordance with governing procedures and processes
  • Support projects and/or departments with sourcing and purchase of goods and services
  • Handle bid evaluation, negotiation, vendor recommendation, delivery follow up, invoice process
  • Expedite solutions to problems that arise in relation to delivery, quality, quantity, documentation, and cost
  • Ensure accuracy of procurement system as applicable
  • Initiate pre-qualification process of new and existing vendors
  • Add new vendors to the procurement system and contribute with ongoing maintenance or update of approved vendors lists
  • Actively engage in continous improvements of processes and procedures
  • Undertake additional tasks as requested by line supervisor
