Description We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team on a contract basis in Waco, Texas. This role is integral to managing supplier relationships and ensuring the timely procurement of materials and services. The ideal candidate will excel in negotiation, vendor management, and fostering efficient communication to support operational objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Negotiate contracts, blanket orders, and spot-buys to secure favorable terms for the organization.
• Ensure suppliers meet industry standards, including AS9100 and ISO14001 compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance through scorecards, addressing quality, cost, and delivery concerns.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in materials, processing, and transportation while aligning with organizational goals.
• Plan and schedule orders for purchased materials and processes using organizational systems and master schedules.
