A Snapshot of Your Day
You will support Siemens Energy’s procurement operations by ensuring efficient, compliant, and timely purchasing activities that directly contribute to achieving defined procurement targets and critical fiscal-year metrics. Your day will involve close collaboration with global suppliers and project stakeholders, managing RFQs and purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and proactively mitigating risks through supplier expediting. By maintaining accurate master data, reporting procurement status, and supporting project-specific procurement plans, you will play a key role in enabling reliable project execution and operational excellence across the organization.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Contribute to secure achievement of defined Siemens Energy procurement targets and critical metrics per fiscal year. Complete and follow up on Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with suppliers, ensuring correctness of supplier and material master data required for ordering. Process purchase orders based on requirements from projects and valid frame agreements. Follow up on purchase orders, including order acknowledgements, and monitor adherence to committed delivery dates. Drive supplier expediting activities to mitigate contractual risk. Report procurement status to relevant project collaborators, including providing regular updates of project-specific procurement plans. What You Bring
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent industry experience in any discipline, with 4–6 years of experience within the function or industry. Experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes for indirect and aftermarket components within the Oil and Gas industry, including strategic support for assigned components. Experience in dealing with global suppliers and prior hands-on experience using SAP as an end user. Ability to take ownership, think independently, and perform tasks with minimal supervision. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in purchasing fundamentals, including solicitation of bids, negotiation, and contract formation. Proven ability to participate effectively in teams and collaborate cross-functionally. Strong ability to assess and prioritize work for self and others, demonstrate flexibility, and understand as well as communicate a clear sense of urgency.
