Job Description
The OpenShift Delivery Consultant is responsible for delivering containerized PaaS and DevOps solutions using the OpenShift Container Platform. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-ready applications, automated deployment pipelines, and large-scale container clusters. The consultant collaborates with various teams (e.g., developers, DevOps engineers) to solve complex issues and optimize systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consulting and delivery for OpenShift container platform, ensuring integration with existing enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot and support platform issues, cluster configurations, and container runtimes.
- Implement automated cloud solutions with focus on infrastructure integration (network, storage, security, etc.).
- Work on migration of workloads to containers and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide guidance on best practices, analyze issues, and communicate resolutions effectively.
Required Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with tools like Openshift, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Service mesh
- Experience with automation, orchestration, and CI/CD delivery models.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (e.g., YAML, JSON, Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of enterprise systems, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with system resiliency, security, performance tuning, and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK).
Soft Skills:
- Self-motivated, organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passionate about technology and continuous learning.
Key Tasks:
- Onboard client applications to OpenShift, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adoption of best practices.
- Develop solutions for platform integration and containerized workflows.
- Advise clients on Istio service mesh, monitoring, logging, and security.
- Lead the development of best practices for larger teams and stay updated on industry trends.
