Cabinetmaker / Solid Surface Fabricator

Position Overview

West Isle is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker or Woodworker to join our crew, specializing in solid surface countertop fabrication.

This role focuses on building and finishing solid surface countertops and custom surfaces using materials such as Corian, Hi-Macs, Formica, LG-Hausys and Wilsonart. Solid surface work is very similar to cabinetry in many ways. It is cut, routed, glued, clamped, and sanded much like wood, but requires a higher level of surface finishing and precision.

You will work alongside our in-house crew to fabricate high-quality countertops for commercial and institutional projects.

While prior solid surface experience is an asset, it is not required. Strong cabinetry or millwork experience is far more important. We are willing to train the right person.
