Cable Plow Operator 


Ultimate LLC is looking to hire Cable Plow Operators for projects in the Midwest. The pay range for Operators is $25-28 per hour based on experience. The majority of our position’s hours range from 45 to 75 hours a week. Cable Plow Operator applicants must have a personal vehicle and be prepared for work up to 40+ hours a week. Ultimate LLC provides weekly pay for all operators.



Ultimate Cable Plow Operator responsibilities 

Operate cable plow equipment for underground installation of fiber optic cable, conduit, and utilities

· Read and interpret utility locates, prints, and job specifications

· Safely work around existing utilities and make real-time adjustments as needed

· Load, secure, and transport equipment, tools, and materials

· Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance

· Maintain productivity while meeting quality and safety standards

· Coordinate with crew members and foremen to complete jobs on schedule

· Assist with site restoration and job site clean-up

· Support and mentor less experienced crew members

· Follow all company and OSHA safety policies

Ultimate Construction Operator requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to travel weekly, up to two weeks or more at a time
  • Class A CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment
  • Education in Gas and/or Utilities Construction (preferred)
  • Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables (preferred)
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
