Position Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Drafter with a strong background in electrical drafting to join our Austin-based team. This role plays a key part in the development of electrical documentation including one-line diagrams, schematics, equipment layouts, and more. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to contribute to critical infrastructure projects across the data-start="1118" data-end="1121">

Key Responsibilities


  • Draft and develop detailed electrical drawings: one-lines, schematics, panel schedules, and switchgear/equipment layouts.




  • Use AutoCAD and Revit (latest versions) to create accurate and efficient designs.




  • Produce fast field and conceptual sketches based on engineer input or field data.




  • Assist in light 3D modeling as needed for spatial coordination.




  • Build and manage block libraries to streamline drafting processes and increase efficiency.




  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet tight deadlines on complex projects.




  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across all drawing packages.




  • Occasionally travel (<15%) to job sites or partner locations for field coordination.


  • Qualifications


  • Proficient in the latest versions of AutoCAD and Revit.




  • 3+ years of electrical drafting experience in mission critical, industrial, or commercial projects.




  • Strong knowledge of electrical layouts, one-lines, schematics, and panel schedules.




  • Familiarity with equipment and switchgear layouts.




  • Experience building and maintaining CAD block libraries.




  • Ability to work effectively in a high-speed, collaborative environment.




  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.




  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX

  • Experience working in mission critical data centers, hospitals, or critical infrastructure).



  • Exposure to BIM coordination or similar workflows.
