The Role
As a CAD Design Engineer, you’ll design and develop 3D models and detailed drawings for battery packs, enclosures, mounting structures, and related components. You’ll support system integration into the motorcycle chassis while ensuring manufacturability, safety, durability, and serviceability.
You’ll also support prototyping, testing, and design iteration as products move toward production.
What You’ll Do
- Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for battery packs, modules, and enclosures.
- Support battery integration into the motorcycle chassis, including packaging, cooling, and safety.
- Perform tolerance analysis and design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA).
- Collaborate with electrical, thermal, and systems engineers on component integration.
- Manage revisions, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and continuous design improvement.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to refine production designs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and durability requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in CAD-based mechanical design (EV, automotive, or battery preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Creo.
- Experience producing manufacturing drawings and applying GD&T.
- Familiarity with materials, sealing strategies, fasteners, and structural design.
