Responsibilities

  • To understand the current and forecast CAD systems, data usage and processes
  • To define the ongoing CAD strategy / Roadmap for the client
  • Understand the business requirements and pain-points
  • Understand the technical requirements for business and IT
  • Understand the functional and technical data and system integration requirements
  • Understand the various vendor offerings and ongoing product roadmaps
  • Coordinate with the business and influence them into using the most appropriate tool / application for each type of data
  • Creating metrics for the CAD tools (tool comparison)
  • Data types in use across the business to include but not limited toMechanical ComponentsElectrical/EC&I Components & WiringCivil ComponentsPI&Ds & Routing (Electrical / Pipework /HVAC)Model Based Definitions
