**Job Title: Calibration Technician**

**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced **Calibration Technician** to join our Quality Assurance team. The Calibration Technician is responsible for testing, calibrating, and inspecting instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy, compliance, and traceability to established standards. This role supports measurement data, documentation, and calibration records while maintaining precision tools and equipment used throughout the facility.
**Schedule & Pay**
**Pay:** $22–$26/hr
**1st Shift:** Mon-Thurs 6:00AM-4:30PM (OT available on Fri; 6:00AM-2:30PM)
**Responsibilities**
+ Plan and execute calibration and gage verification procedures using precision measurement tools.
+ Inspect instruments and equipment for defects, accuracy, and compliance with established protocols.
+ Test, align, repair, replace, and balance component parts as needed.
+ Record and evaluate measurement results using calibration or gage verification software.
+ Maintain detailed calibration records, logs, and documentation.
+ Coordinate logistics for transferring, shipping, or delivering calibrated instruments.
+ Assist in developing and improving calibration procedures to maintain precision accuracy.
+ Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on gauges and instruments.
+ Troubleshoot issues such as misalignment, improper setup, or over‑tightening and recommend corrective actions.
**Essential Skills**
+ Strong hands-on experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, etc.).
+ Understanding of calibration standards, traceability (NIST), and measurement accuracy.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
+ Familiarity with calibration software or gage verification systems.
+ Strong documentation and record‑keeping skills.
+ Basic mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
+ Solid math skills for measurement and tolerance calculations.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in machined part inspection, gage calibration, or metrology processes.
+ Formal training in calibration, metrology, or gage verification preferred.
+ Experience inspecting metals or tools in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
+ Technical certification (ASQ CCT or similar) is a plus.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
