Position Summary

The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties to support patient care. The Pharmacy Assistant participates in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations as a team member and contributes to delivering superior customer service.

What you'll do

  • Receiving prescriptions from patients, assessing for completeness (Name, Address, DOB, Allergies, 3rd Party Information, Any Special Requests, Prescriber, Generic/Brand) and prioritizing prescriptions following 21st Century Guidelines.
  • Performing computer functions as directed by the Pharmacist (data entry, price checks, patient information updates, handling prescribed items, refills, report generation, and patient profile checks).
