Role: AM/DM – Sourcing & Vendor Development (Packaging)

Key Responsibilities:

  Lead sourcing and vendor development activities for all packaging materials including:

    Corrugated boxes

    BOPP tapes

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    EPE foam

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Blister packaging

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Primary & Secondary packaging

    
    
  
  
  
  


• 
  

  Identify, evaluate, and onboard new packaging vendors as per quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and alternate sourcing initiatives for packaging.

  
  


• 
  

  Negotiate commercials, locking rate contracts, and ensuring competitive procurement.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with internal teams (Quality, Production, SCM, Products) for packaging trials, performance checks, and approvals.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage vendor performance: OTIF delivery, quality compliance, material reliability, and packaging sustainability.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop long-term vendor partnerships ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure packaging materials comply with industry standards, strength tests, drop tests, and regulatory requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Handle procurement documentation, PO creation, agreements, and supplier dashboards.

  
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 
  

  Minimum 5+ years experience in packaging sourcing/vendor development.

  
  


• 
  

  Mandatory: Experience in Consumer Appliances industry (AC, refrigerator, washing machine, small appliances, etc.).

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of corrugated, EPE, BOPP, blister and other structural packaging.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of packaging quality parameters, specifications, testing methods.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to manage multiple vendors and drive continuous improvement.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong analytical and documentation skills.
