About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled sourcing professional with strong expertise in automotive fasteners to manage supplier development, cost analysis, and procurement operations. The role involves working closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure reliable supply, optimal cost, and consistent quality of fastener components.


Key Responsibilities




  • Lead sourcing and vendor development activities for automotive fasteners (standard & special).




  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery parameters.




  • Conduct costing and cost benchmarking to ensure competitive procurement.




  • Manage supplier negotiations, price finalization, and long-term agreements.




  • Collaborate with design and production teams to support localization and new product development (NPD).




  • Drive supplier audits, capability assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.




  • Monitor supplier KPIs (QCD – Quality, Cost, Delivery) and ensure adherence to standards.




  • Handle procurement documentation, RFQs, and technical-commercial evaluations.




Required Skills & Qualifications




  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.




  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Fasteners sourcing/vendor development within the automotive industry.




  • In-depth understanding of fastener manufacturing processes (cold forging, heat treatment, surface coating, etc.).




  • Strong skills in costing, negotiation, and supplier management.




  • Good knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and cost estimation tools.




  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.
