Job Summary:

Capgrid is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Sourcing (Vendor Development – Sheet Metal) . The role involves managing the end-to-end sourcing process, developing vendors, and ensuring the best quality, cost, and delivery performance for sheet metal components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for sheet metal components.

• Handle the entire sourcing cycle — from supplier identification to negotiation and finalization.

• Ensure timely procurement and delivery aligned with project requirements.

• Monitor supplier performance with respect to quality, cost, and delivery.

• Drive cost reduction, localization, and value engineering initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams such as engineering, quality, and operations.

• Maintain strong supplier relationships and compliance with company policies.

• Prepare and present sourcing performance reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing and vendor development , specifically for sheet metal components.

• Strong understanding of automotive sourcing processes and supplier management.

• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Background:

• Candidates from Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier backgrounds will be preferred.
