Job Summary:
Capgrid is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Sourcing (Vendor Development – Sheet Metal). The role involves managing the end-to-end sourcing process, developing vendors, and ensuring the best quality, cost, and delivery performance for sheet metal components.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for sheet metal components.
Handle the entire sourcing cycle — from supplier identification to negotiation and finalization.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery aligned with project requirements.
Monitor supplier performance with respect to quality, cost, and delivery.
Drive cost reduction, localization, and value engineering initiatives.
Collaborate closely with internal teams such as engineering, quality, and operations.
Maintain strong supplier relationships and compliance with company policies.
Prepare and present sourcing performance reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing and vendor development, specifically for sheet metal components.
Strong understanding of automotive sourcing processes and supplier management.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Background:
Candidates from Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier backgrounds will be preferred.
