Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a registered nurse with Cath Lab experience to support a high-acuity, multidisciplinary cardiac unit in Salisbury, NC. This contract role offers the chance to work within a Trauma Level III teaching hospital known for its excellence in Cardiac, Stroke, and Bariatric care. The unit includes Cath Lab, Vascular Lab, and EP Lab services, providing comprehensive and complex cardiovascular patient care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with at least 1 year of Cath Lab nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to independently circulate and monitor in cases
- Experience with blended labs (Cath, EP, Vascular) preferred
- Strong IV skills and cardiac rhythm interpretation ability
- Proficient in sterile technique and medication titration including pressors
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Willingness to participate in call rotations and holiday coverage (travelers typically work 75% of holidays)
- Ability to respond appropriately to cardiac codes

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care during cardiac catheterization, EP, and vascular intervention procedures
- Monitor patient status and assist with complex cardiovascular interventions including STEMI, device placements, and vascular procedures
- Collaborate with Cath Lab leadership and team members to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Participate in departmental training and orientation to support seamless integration into the unit
- Respond to on-call and call-back needs as required by the department
Schedule:
- 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, 40 hours per week
- Weekend and holiday rotations dependent on department needs
- Call expectations discussed during the interview process
