Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including detailed medical history reviews and physical examinations, to diagnose cardiovascular conditions.
- Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic procedures such as Echocardiography, TMT (Treadmill Test), Holter Monitoring, and stress echocardiography.
- Carry out invasive cardiac procedures including Cardiac Catheterization, Coronary Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), and Angioplasty.
- Manage and implant cardiac pacemakers and other cardiac rhythm management devices, including follow-up and device optimization.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient history, and evidence-based guidelines.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, and other specialists in managing complex cardiac cases.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital-wide medical committees.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff, residents, and medical students.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiology through continuous professional development and participation in medical conferences and research.
Requirements:
- MBBS degree followed by MD in General Medicine and DM in Cardiology (or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Cardiology).
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and relevant state medical councils.
- Minimum of 4–5 years of post-residency clinical experience in a hospital or specialized cardiology setting.
- Proven expertise in echocardiography, TMT, Holter monitoring, cardiac catheterization, angiography, angioplasty, and pacemaker implantation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing and interpreting invasive and non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests.
- Strong understanding of cardiac rhythm management and device therapy.
- Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to handle high-pressure emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients and families.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced clinical environment and participate in on-call duties as required.
