Posting Title: Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgeon

Work Experience: 3+ years

Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex open-heart and thoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, aortic aneurysm and dissection management, congenital heart defect corrections, and vascular bypass surgeries.
  • Lead and participate in emergency cardiac surgeries, including acute aortic dissections and post-cardiac arrest resuscitation using ECMO.
  • Manage preoperative assessment, intraoperative decision-making, and postoperative care for high-risk patients.
  • Operate and supervise cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) systems during complex cardiac procedures.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and cardiac nurses in multidisciplinary care planning and execution.
  • Provide expert surgical consultation on the management of complex cardiovascular and thoracic conditions.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed surgical records and contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Mentor and train junior surgical residents and medical staff in advanced surgical techniques and clinical best practices.
  • Stay updated with emerging surgical innovations, research, and evidence-based guidelines in cardiothoracic surgery.
Requirements:
  • MBBS with MD/MS in General Surgery or equivalent, followed by a recognized fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in a high-volume cardiac surgery center.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CABG, valve surgery, aortic surgery, congenital heart surgery, and thoracic procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with ECMO and CPB management in critical care and surgical settings.
  • Exceptional clinical decision-making, surgical precision, and ability to perform under pressure in high-stakes scenarios.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
  • Valid medical license and registration with the Medical Council of India (or equivalent).
  • Commitment to lifelong learning, professional development, and adherence to ethical and safety standards.
  • Willingness to be on call and provide emergency surgical coverage as needed.
