Associate System Engineer- Customer Advisory CLOUD

Join our Customer Advisory Team, a group of SAS Solution experts who simplify complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to customers. About the Role

Our Customer Advisory Team consists of SAS Solution experts who simplify complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to customers. As a trusted partner to our sales teams, we design proof of concepts and demos to show how SAS solutions solve real-world business challenges.

As an Associate System Engineer focused on Cloud technologies, you will work closely with Customer Advisory teams to help customers understand how SAS solutions can be deployed and optimized in cloud environments. You’ll explore innovative architectures, assist in technical discussions, and contribute to creating compelling demonstrations that highlight the value of SAS on the cloud.

Are you wrapping up your Master’s degree and eager to turn theory into real-world impact? At SAS, we’re looking for a tech-savvy intern who’s passionate about cloud architecture and wants to dive into hands-on projects. This isn’t about making coffee (though ours is great) — it’s about building solutions that matter.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Customer Advisory activities by designing and presenting cloud-based architectures for SAS solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and propose tailored solutions.
  • Assist in creating proof of concepts and demos showcasing SAS capabilities on public and private clouds.
  • Stay updated on cloud technologies and best practices for deployment and integration.
  • Learn continuously about SAS solutions and their application in modern cloud ecosystems.

    • Required Qualifications

  • You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable—these values guide everything we do.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal). English proficiency is essential. German language skills are a plus.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Interest in cloud computing, analytics, and emerging technologies.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited program nearing completion or a recent graduate.
  • Preferred majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering.

    • Technical Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of virtualization and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Exposure to Linux/Unix environments and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
  • Awareness of cloud security principles and identity management.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and integration concepts is a plus.
