Job Description

About the role:

We are seeking Carpenters at our Olympic Dam site to work in our site crew to carry out general carpentry works and other related duties safely, to quality and time specification and standards and assist in other areas as required. Successful candidates will provide Carpentry support and expertise to other trades and workgroups.


This role is offered as a DIDO role, working on a 13:8 roster.

Responsibilities of this role include:


  • Ensure all Carpentry works comply with relevant Australian Standards, BCA, Local Ordinances and other relevant codes and standards
  • Ability to understand / read drawings and specification to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
  • Preparing layouts, cutting materials and assembling parts
  • Erecting framework and roof framing
  • Nailing fascias panels, sheathing roofs and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
