Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Architectural Supervisor or designate, the incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of skilled tasks in maintaining, repairing, altering and constructing woodwork, furniture and fixtures throughout the Centre in offices and wards, and building interior and exterior structures and roofs as required. Uses and maintains a wide variety of power and hand tools such as saws, planers, drills, hammers and screwdrivers.


Experience

  • Minimum five years’ experience in all facets of structural and architectural building maintenance, ward/office furniture repair, and other specialized millwork construction/repair used in a health care facility.
  • Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Must be qualified as a Journeyman Carpenter (Province of Manitoba).
