Job Description:
The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible of finding the OTR trucking companies that physically move the client's shipments using DAT. Must negotiate competitive carrier rates whilst maintaining company revenue and margin goals as high as possible. The staff should attend to any request and provide a quick and smart solution to every situation.
Responsibilities are as follows and not limited:
Source and procure carrier services through negotiation on a spot or transactional basis while meeting individual, team, and company revenue margin goals.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective carriers.
Prospect and cultivate carrier database to establish availability.
Understand the existing network of lanes, modes, and equipment types.
Verify the email for rate confirmation.
Verify that Macropoint is being used during the tracking.
Perform check calls every other day to follow up on the booked loads status. <...
