Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience of at least 1 year in a cashier or customer service role is essential for this position.
  • Must possess excellent numerical skills and a willingness to work with financial transactions daily.
  • Experience in handling cash, issuing receipts, and maintaining cash drawers efficiently and accurately required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective customer interaction and service.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and financial software used for processing transactions is preferred.
  • An understanding of basic bookkeeping practices is advantageous to ensure accuracy in reporting financial data.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy required in all tasks to prevent discrepancies in cash management.
  • Integrity and confidentiality should be maintained at all times to ensure customer trust and data security.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions including payments, issuing receipts, refunds, and exchanges as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Assist customers by providing product or service information and finding solutions to any arising queries.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier station are maintained for efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless customer service and operational activities.
  • Monitor inventory levels of specified items and report discrepancies or needed stock replenishments.
  • Support management by preparing necessary financial documentation or end-of-day reports as required.
  • Ensure adherence to all financial policies and procedures to maintain operational integrity and compliance.
