Casual Instructor, Human Services

Position Summary

North Island College invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals for casual on‑call and substitute instructional assignments within the Human Services Department – Social Services program.

Courses in the Human Services – Social Services program are delivered via a blended format, consisting of face‑to‑face (in‑person) and online instruction to a cohort based at the Comox Valley campus.

The successful candidate will implement creative strategies in the preparation and delivery of both face-to-face and online lectures; undertake community and practice student supervision; use initiative in providing documentation and follow-up with regard to student concerns and problem resolution; and, bring facilitation skills to management of conflict. The schedule for this assignment will be flexible to meet the needs of the program.
