Casual Instructor, Practical Nursing/Access to Practical Nursing

Position Summary

North Island College invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals for casual on‑call and substitute instructional assignments within the Practical Nursing (PN) and Access to Practical Nursing (APN) Diploma programs at North Island College.

Courses in the Practical Nursing and Access to Practical Nursing programs are delivered via a blended format, consisting of face‑to‑face and online instruction to a cohort based at the at either the Campbell River, Comox Valley, and/or Port Alberni campus.

The successful candidate will implement creative strategies in the preparation and delivery of theory and/or lab activities; use initiative in providing documentation and follow-up with regard to student concerns and problem resolution; and, bring facilitation skills to management of conflict.
