Position Details:   

Position:  Casual Patient Watch Security Guard  

Site: Various Health Care Sites within St. John's 

Averaging Agreement : Overtime as per CBA  

Hours:  Hours may vary site to site (example Days, Nights, Rotating Shifts)  

Payrate: $ 19.00/hour    

Posting Date: Feb 28th, 2026 

Internal Closing Date: Feb 28th, 2026 External Closing Date: January 31, 2026 

Key responsibilities:    

  • Provide continuous observation of assigned patients to ensure safety and prevent self-harm or injury. 
  • Monitor and report any unusual behavior, incidents, or safety concerns to clinical and security staff. 
  • Maintain a respectful and non-invasive presence while observing patients.
