We are seeking expressions of interest from appropriately experienced and qualified teachers/tutors to support the delivery of our Vocational Information and Communications Technology (ICT) courses during 2026. CQUniversity offers Vocational Education and Training (VET) units in blocks of 9 or 20 weeks and casual staff are contracted based on student enrolments in each of these blocks.

Position Requirements

Teacher

• A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a Diploma or higher level qualification in adult education, or equivalent.
• Blue Card/Working with Children Check (desirable).
• Possession of relevant vocational qualification/s at the level equivalent to or higher than the level to be delivered: industry qualification (certificate, industry certification, diploma, degree or masters).
• Several years industry experience in at least two  of the following discipline areas:
  • Network planning, installation, and configuration.
  • Network security.
  • Virtual computing.
  • Cyber Security.
  • Project Management.
  • Business needs analysis.
  • PC Hardware and software technical support.

Tutor

• Qualifications and/or experience which meet the recognised occupational competency standards relevant to their field/area and to the level of instruction.
• Several years industry experience in PC Hardware and software technical support.
• Blue Card/Working with Children Check (desirable).
• TAE delivery and/or Assessment skill set (desirable).
