As a Category Analyst, this is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and make a real impact. You’ll support category and product strategy by translating customer, market and product data into insights that guide product development, range decisions and marketing execution, gaining hands‑on experience and building skills from day one, with training and support along the way.
What You’ll Do
- Product & Segment Strategy: Support Category and Segment Managers in managing product ranges across their lifecycle, from concept to launch through to optimisation and exit.
- Performance & Category Analysis: Analyse category, and product performance to identify trends and insights that inform range decisions, product positioning and product development, pricing and promotion priorities.
- Market Intelligence: Research competitors to identify opportunities, trends and risks within a category.
- Reporting & Storytelling: Translate data into clear narratives using dashboards, visuals and presentations to support category planning, product launches and marketing decisions.
- Commercial Understanding: Support Category Managers with insights into performance drivers and trade‑offs, helping inform balanced category decisions.
- Product Information Management: Make sure our product information is accurate, up to date, and easy to understand, so customers can confidently choose and use our products.
- Collaboration: Be part of a supportive team, working closely with Category and Segment Marketing Managers. You’ll help with analysis, insights, and problem‑solving to improve overall business performance.
What We Look For in You
- Bachelor’s degree or above (ideal areas: Marketing, Commerce, Business or related). Strong analytical bias
- Graduates or those with 1‑3 years’ experience in Product Marketing, Product Development or adjacent roles.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret product, customer and market data. Working knowledge of business intelligence software preferred (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau).
- Interest in products, consumer behaviour and how data informs category decisions.
- Excellent written reporting, data visualisation and verbal presentation skills.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
