  • Position Title –Category Head (Senior Manager/Assistant General Manager-Marketing) -Cooking Platform
  • Location – Bengaluru (Corporate Office)
  • Total Experience -10 Years (Minimum 2 to 5 Years in Sales & 5 to 8 Years in Handling Product Management of Cooking Platforms (Chimneys / Kitchen hoods) at a national role is compulsory).
  • Qualification – MBA (Full-time is compulsory)
  • Reporting to-: Senior General Manager- Marketing.
  • Team Handling - Yes (Approximately 2 Product Manager will report on this role)
  • Languages Known- English, Hindi
  • Industry- FMCD /FMCG/Consumer Durable/FMEG/Candidates having experience in small appliances (Cooking Platform) will be must.


Key Responsibilities: -

  • Category Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product category strategy, including product positioning, market segmentation, and pricing strategies to drive growth and profitability. Ensuring Price Laddering and Hygiene across operating channels.
  • Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to market launch. Collaborate with R&D, design, Vendors and engineering teams to deliver high-quality and innovative products that meet customer needs. Drive new product launches and manage the life cycle of SKUs in the portfolio.
  • New Product Development (NPD) & Innovation- Manage full NPD lifecycle from concept to market launch for category
  • Strategic Planning & P&L Ownership: Own top-line growth and drive category margin improvement. Drive sub-category x channel x region performance. Participate in trade spending planning.
  • Marketing Strategy & Campaigns- Plan product lineups, pricing strategies, and campaigns. Ensure execution and visibility of brand campaigns.
  • Inventory Management: Slow Moving and Exit roadmap
  • Promotion Intervention- Working closely on promotions and schemes to make the campaigns and products successful.
  • Communication: Ensuring content/communication across the board on products, including in the digital space, is in line with stated objectives.
  • Team Leadership & Cross Functional Collaboration- Manage project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependence in an organized and structured way and willing to do what it takes to make our product successful. Liaise with R&D, Procurement, Supply Chain, Media Agencies, Customer Service
  • Product training and development of product knowledge to the sales team
  • Market Analysis- Be the subject matter expert for the assigned products through research in the latest trends, competitor analysis & market information. Be updated with competition trends through competition benchmarking, competition marketing activities, new launches, schemes, pricing, service etc.
  • Insights through Consumer/Market research on the category leading to input for new product introduction- Perform customer research along with research agencies, feedback, usage analytics, and competitive analysis to identify new product/current product requirements.
  • Consumer Insights & Brand Health Tracking- Analyze ROI, assortment, stock availability, satisfaction, and sell-through. Conduct consumer insight studies via partners. Regularly update senior leadership
  • Market Share Monitoring and action thereof
  • Maintain the Vitality Score for the New Product Launches


Remarks-

  • Experience in a Product company is Mandatory. The Service Industry will not be considered.
  • Manufacturing & Home Appliances (focus: cooking ranges > ₹500 Cr revenue)
  • Sales Experience is Compulsory in the previous experience.
  • Travel requirements as per business as required.
  • Excellent communication skills (in English and fluency in the local language may also be helpful).
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Looking for a stable candidate (Frequent job changes will not be considered)
  • Team Handling Experience is Compulsory.
  • Proven experience in product management is a must
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
