Job Description
Develop and implement category strategies to achieve business objectives. Analyse market trends and consumer insights to identify opportunities for category growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to optimise product offerings and pricing. Monitor category performance and provide actionable insights to improve sales and profitability. Manage product life cycle, including introductions, promotions, and discontinuations. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all category management activities. Lead and mentor a team to drive innovation and excellence in category management. A successful Category Head should have:
MBA from top tier universities, MBB experience preferred. Proven expertise in the strategy & growth roles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities to work effectively with vendors and stakeholders. Leadership experience to manage and inspire a team towards achieving goals. A results-oriented mindset with a focus on growth and profitability. Knowledge of market trends and consumer behaviour in the consumer tech industry.
