Position Title: Category Manager - Marketing

Purpose of the Role:

The Category Manager will be responsible for driving brand growth, strengthening brand equity through a robust digital strategy, and managing the portfolio to regain market share in key segments. This role demands a strategic marketer with experience in digital communication and category management to execute high-impact campaigns and product launches that align with the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Growth Strategy

  • Design and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for the category that aligns with business objectives and maximizes revenue potential.
  • Conduct market analysis and leverage consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and drive brand positioning.

Brand Equity Enhancement

  • Develop and implement a digital communication strategy to reinforce brand equity, ensuring messaging aligns with brand values and resonates with target consumers.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive brand communication across all consumer touchpoints.

Product Launch Execution

  • Lead and manage product launches from planning to execution, focusing on market penetration and consumer engagement.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including sales and operations, to align on launch strategies and ensure flawless execution.
  • Oversee the Home Appliances portfolio, optimizing SKU selection and assortment planning to regain market share in core segments.
  • Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to ensure optimal product distribution and positioning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work closely with sales, trade marketing, finance, and operations to align on category goals and drive execution.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a collaborative environment and encouraging development and growth.

Budget Management

  • Manage the marketing budget to maximize return on investment, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in brand management, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and executing digital communication strategies.
  • Proven track record in managing successful product launches and portfolio management.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
