We’re searching for an experienced Category Specialist to join us on our journey to be the trades most valued partner.**About the Role**This is a great opportunity to join our merchandising team as a Category Specialist. In this role you’ll learn lots, including strategic planning and category development. You’ll be partnering with our Category Lead for Pipes & Fittings and engaging across the supply chain with suppliers and branches to support product range optimisation and innovation.Responsibilities include* Contributing to the development and execution of category plans.* Supporting supplier management and commercial negotiations.* Collaborating with internal teams to align product strategy with customer needs.* Applying operational and commercial experience to improve product performance and customer outcomes.**About you**To be successful in this role, you will have* Experience working in a buying or category role in merchandising, along with passion for all things product!* Excellent interpersonal communication skills along with a positive, can-do attitude and an inquisitive nature, with a thirst to understand the Reece business and products* Strong relationship building skills, you’ll be working with a number of stakeholders within the business and external vendors and suppliers* Good excel and Power BI skills are a nice to have, but not essential.
