Job Description

Job Purpose:


To drive business growth through category-focused trade marketing strategies by planning and executing initiatives that enhance brand visibility, influence channel partner engagement, and support sales achievement.

Job Responsibilities:


1. Category Trade Strategy & Planning for all Channels(GT, Rural, MT, Ecomm etc)

  • Develop and execute trade marketing plans aligned with overall brand and category strategies.

  • Identify channel-specific opportunities and design category-led interventions to drive sell-out.

  • Align trade marketing initiatives with seasonal trends, new product launches, and market dynamics.
  • 2. Scheme Design, Analysis & Insights:

  • Design trade schemes and promotional offers tailored to different channels and customer segments.

  • Monitor scheme effectiveness, analyse performance data, and generate insights for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with Sales, PL’s and Finance to optimize scheme structure and ROI.
  • 3. Market & Competitor Insights:

  • Conduct regular market visits to gather feedback, monitor execution, and identify improvement areas.

  • Analyze trade data, competitor activities, and retail trends to derive actionable insights.

  • Track ROI of trade initiatives and create performance dashboards for leadership review.
  • 4. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Sales, Product, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure alignment of trade marketing programs.

  • Support new product launches with go-to-market (GTM) readiness, sales collaterals, and retailer communication.
  • Budgeting & ROI Planning
