**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
The Cath Imaging Techonologist is a professional with advanced training in cardiovascular/interventional and special procedures. The Cath Imaging Technologist, under the general direction of the Nurse Director, shall perform professional functions involved in a variety of technical aspects.
+ Technical Proficiency
+ Assist the physician with positioning of the patient and adjustment of equipment.
+ Knowledge of the proper set up and operation of the Intra Aortic Balloon Pump and Intravascular Ultrasound Equipment (IVUS).
+ Maintains proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation. Identifies dysrhythmias and hemodynamic waveforms correctly.
+ Recognizes abnormal & adverse cardiopulmonary and peripheral vascular symptoms and takes appropriate action.
+ Possesses and demonstrates in depth knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral anatomy & physiology, and interventions.
