Job Opportunity: Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordinator

Location: Kaiserslautern Military Community and Baumholder Military Community

Start Date: 27 February 2026

Schedule: Part-Time (Flexible hours based on Catholic Community calendar and event schedules)

Make a Difference Behind the Mission

Are you passionate about supporting faith communities, detail-driven, and familiar with the military lifestyle? Do you want your work to directly support U.S. military service members and their families in their spiritual journey? If so, this opportunity might be a perfect fit.

We are seeking a Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordinator to provide essential administrative and pastoral support to the USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Religious Support Office (RSO). You'll work closely with Catholic clergy and community members across both Baumholder and Kaiserslautern, helping coordinate worship services, sacramental preparation, community events, and faith formation programs that make a real difference in military family life.

This position is an excellent fit for a military spouse or someone with first-hand experience supporting military life, offering both professional fulfillment and scheduling flexibility that respects the unique demands of Catholic liturgical celebrations and military community needs.

What You’ll Do

+ Provide support to the Garrison Religious Support Office and Catholic Chaplain/Priest in conducting religious services.

+ Various administrative tasks related to religious services, including:

+ Developing a monthly Catholic Community calendar

+ Creating a weekly bulletin with announcements

+ Assisting the Community Event Coordination and Publicity program

+ Maintaining the Catholic Community Registration

+ Collecting and supporting the Sacramental records

Team Collaboration

+ Attend and participate in required meetings scheduled by the Parish in order to gain and provide information pertaining to the Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordination tasks.

+ Participate in staff development programs, cross-training initiatives, and performance improvement activities.

Who You Are

+ You're organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines and deliverables

+ You're tech-savvy and comfortable working with databases, portal systems, and Microsoft Office applications

+ You're mission-minded and want to support the military community's spiritual life in a meaningful way

+ You're respectful of Catholic traditions and comfortable working within liturgical requirements

+ You communicate clearly both orally and in writing, with professional etiquette appropriate for religious support activities

+ You may be a military spouse or veteran yourself—or simply someone who values service and faith community

Qualifications

+ High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Management, or Theology)

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in professional office management or program coordination

+ Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently with excellent comprehension

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

+ Computer competent in Windows-based operating systems

+ Eligible to work in Germany

+ Ability to obtain Catechist certification from the Archdiocese for the Military Services within 90 days of contract award

Why You’ll Love It Here

? Flexible work schedule that varies according to the Catholic Community calendar and event needs—not a traditional Monday-Friday, 9-to-5 environment

? Meaningful spiritual mission supporting Catholic service members and their families in their faith journey

? A mission you can believe in—serving U.S. military members and their families across the Rheinland-Pfalz region

? Close collaboration with Catholic clergy and dedicated faith community members

Ready to Join Us?

If you're excited about the opportunity to make a real impact while supporting the military community, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and bring your voice, skills, and purpose to a team that values your experience and your drive to make a difference.
