The opportunity
The Channel Specialist plays a key role in shaping and optimizing digital content across multiple platforms. In this role, you will manage high-visibility content on a global scale, and drive engagement through strategic content curation and optimization. You will be responsible for overseeing video content uploaded to Brightcove, ensuring quality control, proper organization and best practices to enhance user experience. Additionally, you will have the chance to influence the firm’s digital presence by managing the global YouTube channel and refining content strategies.
Your key responsibilities
Be the main point of contact with BMC stakeholders seeking to publish webcast and podcast on global working with them from topic ideation through to page build and optimization. Approve content for the firm’s global webcast and podcast pages, ensuring high engagement and relevance. Oversee, edit and build pages for Tier 1 and Tier 2 webcast and podcast pages. Ensure proper video archiving and removal of outdated content to maintain a relevant and streamlined video library. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in branding and messaging across video assets. Maintain and manage video publishing workflows and governance guidelines within Brightcove. Stay updated on Brightcove features and industry trends to enhance video content strategy and platform utilization. Manage the global YouTube channel, maintaining content quality, optimizing playlists, and implementing archiving parameters. Develop and implement best practices for video content, including updating the YouTube playbook and approving new playlists. Analyze and report on key performance metrics for YouTube videos, webcast pages, and podcast pages. Use data-driven insights to refine content strategies and improve engagement. Review content and suggest how best to optimize for SEO performance, including conducting keyword research, and editing/writing page titles, meta descriptions, h-tags and body content. Understand website taxonomy and ensure new content is tagged effectively Keep abreast on new functionality and/or any process changes that are implemented by the central web governance team; remain up to date on any changes to SEO approach established by major search engines. Excellent US English written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of how messages may be received globally Strong understanding of digital publishing and best practices Strong understanding of YouTube content strategy, playlist curation, and video performance tracking Strong knowledge of SEO relating to content development Experience working within a content management system to create outstanding digital experiences Strong influencing skills Strong project and time management ability Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and drive strategic initiatives Proficiency in tracking engagement metrics and using insights to refine content strategies Ideally, you’ll also have
Experience and be comfortable working closely with global teams
