The opportunity

The Americas Digital Content Editor is responsible for editing, reviewing, and managing content for our internal website, , and our Daily News Email, our core internal communications channels, so that they deliver against our editorial strategy and meet our quality criteria. You will actively collaborate with our Americas communications teams, in partnership with the Americas Editorial Lead, advising them on how best to bring their content to life, then helping them to polish their content in a way that enhances our brand, serves users, and drives content engagement. You will be a critical part of the team that implements governance and quality controls on content that our communications team plans and publishes. You will also work closely with our page building team to bring that content to life on the EY intranet.

Your key responsibilities


Under the direction of the Intranet Editorial Lead, you will quality review content submitted for publication on the EY Intranet and Daily News Email, and provide constructive, specific feedback on corrections required for publication

Act as the liaison between stakeholders and the page builder team, including:

  • Ensuring stakeholder requests are clear and executable

  • Reformatting content to fit Intranet page template standards (copy deck creation) and be easily applied/executed by the page building team

  • Coordinating with stakeholders and team members to ensure pages are built on time according to stakeholders’ deadlines and team SLA

  • Ensure content published on the Americas Intranet is top quality, including:

  • Editing copy decks submitted by stakeholders to ensure content is digitally friendly, high-quality, brand-compliant and topical

  • Conducting quality assurance (QA) on draft pages to ensure pages are error-free and meeting stakeholder demands

  • Review content and suggest how best to optimize for on-site discoverability and engagement, including editing/writing page titles, meta descriptions, h-tags and body content

  • Make minor edits to existing pages within the Content Management System (CMS) and have strong knowledge of the components and guidelines governing them in order to guide stakeholders on best page layout and set up

  • Understand website taxonomy and ensure new content is tagged effectively

  • Keep projects to SLA by successfully juggling competing priorities and multiple projects
  • Skills and attributes for success

  • Write/edit web copy that’s engaging, brand-compliant and search engine-optimized

  • Advocate for digital best practices and how to use different content types/formats and design elements to create effective, engaging user experiences

  • Make decisions throughout a project that balance the need to meet a deadline and still meet the original requirements of the project

  • Build strong relationships, as stakeholder management – and building trust - is a large part of this roleWork independently to complete multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment
  • To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Excellent US English written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of how messages may be received Americas-wide

  • Strong understanding of digital publishing and best practices

  • Knowledge of internal communications strategies

  • Experience working within a content management system to create outstanding digital experiences

  • Basic photo editing and cropping skills

  • Demonstrate exceptional project management and coordination skills

  • Be professional, confident and enthusiastic; adapt to flexible work timings; demonstrate exceptional work ethic and customer focus
  • Ideally, you’ll also have


    An eye for design and basic knowledge in design software such as Photoshop and MS Office software
