The **Transportation Planner** provides transportation operations support through the execution of shipment consolidation, carrier / mode selection, tender, track / trace and issue resolution.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor System for new order activity.
- Utilize TMS to consolidate orders / deliveries into optimized shipments.
- Utilize TMS to select carriers for shipments in compliance with routing guide commitments.
- Communicate detailed shipment information to selected carriers (Tender Shipment).
- Monitor response of carriers to tendered shipments.
- Take alternate action in the event of a carrier refusal.
- Track /trace existing orders through delivery.
- Proactively communicate service failures by carriers to affected internal customers (O2I, SNP, DC’s, Plants).
