Responsibilities
Summary/Objective
A CDL, Class A Dedicated driver is responsible for transporting different types of equipment to/from distribution centers and customer locations using a truck. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip and unload cased products from the trailer to customer facilities and distribution centers. These drivers also follow appropriate safety procedures to transport dangerous cargo and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours.
Complete company paperwork as required, enter equipment quantity count when loading and unloading vehiclesParticipate in the loading and unloading of equipment from vehicleRestock equipment correctly and according to standards set forth by the working locationMaintain, configuration of orders, clean and maintain of company equipment and resourcesAssist in general maintenance of rental equipment such as lighting, grip, power distribution Bringing equipment up to factory specifications before returning to stock May operate assigned warehouse equipment-handling machines in compliance with safety standards and as set forth by the company. Machines include but not limited to pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, and order pickers. Operator must be trained and certified prior to operating any “powered” equipment handling machinesParticipate in cross training as assigned, help and guidance for related work when necessaryProvide training to new and existing employees, as well as interns as assignedAssist inside branch when not completing a run Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of FMCSA/DOT regulationsAbility to follow instructions and complete required trainingAbility to work independently and/or as a teamUnderstand and comprehend traffic signals, signs, right of way rulesAbility to drive long distance during the day and night on all types of roads and in all types of weatherExposure to noise and vibration Exposure to dust and diesel fumes Hours may vary due to operational needsCompetencies
Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipmentVerify and complete required documentation and reportsMaintain accurate daily logsFollow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch (. delays, arrivals, equipment problems), as requiredComply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/proceduresAble to utilize a smart device to communicate with others along with specific apps related to dispatch, hours of service, and payrollPhysical demands
Ability to sit for extended periods of timeAbility to bend, twist, squat, and climb in and out of a truck and trailerAbility to perform tasks that involve lifting and moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds multiple times a dayOvernight in a sleeper cabOther Requirements
