Cell Mechanical Design Engineer

Cell Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for overseeing mechanical activities, including testing, modeling, and assessment to ensure compliance with regulations. This role is responsible for translating client requirements into mechanical specifications and leading module/cell design and validation for optimal mechanical integration.

Main functions

Mechanical Characterization

• Conduct mechanical testing such as cell swelling characterization under charge/discharge, assessment of mechanical inhomogeneities impacts, and optimal operating pressure assessment.
• Perform abusive testing related to mechanical aspects, including crush, drop, nail penetration, and pressure testing for cell sampling.

Mechanical Modelling

• Ownership of development cell sample designs such as pouch cell drawings
