Role Summary

Gopalan Metals is seeking an experienced Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) to manage costing, budgeting, MIS, and operational finance for its manufacturing and metal operations. The role will support management decisions through accurate cost analysis, financial insights, and strong system-driven controls.

Key Responsibilities

Costing & Cost Control

• Manage product/process costing , variance analysis, and margin analysis
• Monitor material, labor, and overhead costs; drive cost-optimization initiatives
• Oversee inventory valuation and consumption

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling plans
• Analyze budget vs actuals and present variance reports

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS, cost sheets, profitability reports, and dashboards
• Provide actionable insights to senior management

Manufacturing & Operations Finance

• Partner with plant and operations teams on cost discipline and efficiency
• Support capacity utilization and productivity analysis

Systems & ERP (Mandatory)

• Hands-on experience in SAP FICO
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
• Strong experience with ERP-driven costing, reporting, and controls

Compliance & Audit

• Support internal and statutory audits related to cost records
• Ensure compliance with cost accounting standards

Candidate Profile

• Qualified CMA (ICMAI mandatory)
• 6 –12 years of experience in manufacturing / metals / heavy industry
• Strong expertise in costing, MIS, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Hands-on experience in SAP FICO and SAP S/4HANA
• Advanced Excel and ERP reporting skills
