Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Renewable Energy
Rome, Italy (preferred location)

A privately backed IPP operating in the renewable energy and storage sector is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team in Italy.


The business is supported by long-term, ESG-focused institutional capital and is at an exciting stage of growth, with an active pipeline of renewable and storage projects.


The role:


  • Lead financial strategy, governance, and reporting




  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash management




  • Support project finance, funding structures, and investor engagement




  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and shareholders




  • Build and lead the finance function as the platform scales


    • The ideal profile:


  • 10+ years of experience in similar roles




  • Senior finance leadership experience (CFO / Finance Director level)




  • Background in renewables, energy, infrastructure




  • Strong exposure to project finance and investment-led environments




  • Strategic, hands-on, and comfortable in growth-phase platforms




  • Based in Italy or open to relocation (Rome preferred)
